Registration

  • If you already registered as a member of the WCBA, use this option to register for the Beginner Beekeeper class. If you chose the HOUSEHOLD membership, and would like a 2nd person to attend the class, include the 2nd person as a guest registration.
  • A 2024 membership in the WCBA is included in your registration. You do NOT need to apply for membership with this option.

    Add a spouse/household member for an additional $10 and you will be upgraded to a household membership. Both household members may attend the class together, but you must register them in advance.

Registration is closed for this year's bee school.  Check out other area clubs, who may be having theirs a little later in the year.

Join us for new beekeeper classes to be held Tuesday evenings from 7pm-9pm in the Wake County Commons Building at 4011 Carya Dr, Raleigh, NC 27610

CLASSES ARE EACH TUESDAY FROM January 23-March 26, except for March 5th due to Primary Election Day.

This class is for anyone that would like to learn the best practices for beekeeping, including how to get started, how to care for honey bees, and the benefits of membership in the Wake County Beekeepers and North Carolina State Beekeepers Associations.  Besides offering a comprehensive foundation of the knowledge and skills needed to properly care for your bees, the class will prepare you to take the written exam for CERTIFIED BEEKEEPER offered by the NC State Beekeepers Association.  This certification is the first step in a graduated program to eventually offer participants the opportunity to be obtain a certificate as a MASTER BEEKEEPER over the course of several years of study and practice as a beekeeper.
